Who, What, Where, and Why!
Bobby Stricklin and John Reger, Jr., PGA, are hosting an 18 Hole “Fun” golf outing at the Bloomingdale Golfer’s Club to raise funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease.
The PRESERVING MEMORIES GOLF CELEBRATION will remember John Jr’s father - John Reger Sr., former All-Pro NFL Linebacker (1955-1966) for the Pittsburgh Steelers/Washington Redskins. Also, Louise Stricklin, Bobby’s wife and principle partner in the original ownership group of the Bloomingdale Golfers Club (1986-1992). Both John Sr. and Louise passed away in the fall of 2013 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.
The event will take place on the afternoon of Monday October 27, 2014. One hundred-twenty golfers are expected to participate and well over 200 may attend the cookout following golf. The event will be heavily promoted in the area through local print, broadcast, and social media outlets.
Golf Hole Sponsorship Minimum Contribution $1,000
The most important segment of our fund raising effort is obtaining sponsors for each of the 18 golf holes. Sponsors are requested to make a cash contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.
One hundred percent of all the monies paid by sponsors and participants in the event will be gifted to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be fully tax deductible to the donors!
Written confirmation of your gift and deductibility will be provided by the Alzheimer’s Association. The tournament hosts will pay all related expenses for promoting sponsors and their golf hole dedication honorees.
Golf Hole Sponsorship Benefits
Besides making a fully tax deductible gift to the Alzheimer’s Association, sponsors will receive:
1. Each sponsor may dedicate their golf hole to an honoree of their choice (or the hosts and Alzheimer’s Association can assist in this). The honoree should be a person who is or has battled the disease. The story and photograph of the honoree will appear on the sponsor’s program page and on the hole signage/poster on the course.
2. A full page promotion of the sponsor’s business name, logo, information about the business, and their dedication will be included in the event printed program.
3. Signage/poster with professional graphics on the sponsor’s golf hole and at the score board area near the clubhouse will recognize the sponsor and his honoree.
4. Each golf hole sponsor will receive four paid invitations to the Awards Party Cookout.
5. Sponsors may also choose to play in the 18 hole golf event by making an additional Individual or Team Entry contribution.
